WazirX has launched WazirX AI, an AI-powered trading co-pilot designed to bring crypto-market research, portfolio analysis and trade execution into a single conversational interface.
The company describes the product as India’s first AI co-pilot for crypto trading. It is designed to reduce the time traders spend switching between price charts, technical indicators, market news, signal groups and trading screens.
The new assistant is integrated into the WazirX app and website. Users can ask questions about markets, receive researched insights with supporting charts, review their live portfolios and prepare or approve trades without leaving the conversation.
The launch comes as crypto trading becomes increasingly data-intensive. Markets operate around the clock, requiring traders to monitor price movements, news, technical signals and risk conditions continuously.
WazirX AI combines the crypto trading workflow
WazirX AI is built around what the company calls an “Ask-Understand-Decide” model.
The model allows the assistant to coordinate several functions across a multi-step request. These include market data, technical analysis, portfolio information and order management.
Instead of separately checking charts, calculating risk and preparing an order, users can complete these steps through a conversational workflow.
For example, a trader could ask the assistant to screen INR futures for four-hour momentum. The user could then specify a risk-reward threshold and ask WazirX AI to validate potential opportunities across multiple timeframes.
The assistant can subsequently prepare a proposed order containing details such as entry price, leverage, margin, stop-loss, take-profit and estimated loss.
This creates a workflow that moves from market discovery to analysis, risk assessment and trade preparation within the same interface.
Conversational market research
One of the central features of WazirX AI is conversational market research.
Users can ask about live cryptocurrency prices, market developments, news and macroeconomic factors. The assistant provides a summary along with supporting charts.
This approach is intended to make market research more accessible without requiring users to navigate multiple information sources.
For active traders, the ability to combine market information with technical analysis within the same conversation could also reduce the friction involved in moving from an initial idea to a more structured trading decision.
However, faster access to information does not remove the underlying risks of cryptocurrency trading. Market volatility, leverage and rapidly changing conditions remain important considerations for traders.
Live portfolio briefings and risk-aware position sizing
WazirX AI also connects market analysis with portfolio information.
Users can request a live overview of their WazirX account and connected balances. The briefing can include portfolio value, profit and loss and open positions.
The same information can also be requested as a daily morning briefing.
Before a user places a trade, WazirX AI provides an updated view of the user’s live portfolio. It can then use the user’s risk preferences to recommend an appropriate position size.
This creates an important distinction between simply providing a trading signal and incorporating the user’s existing portfolio and risk parameters into the decision-making process.
Trading directly through the conversation
WazirX AI extends beyond research and portfolio analysis by allowing users to prepare and place trades within the conversation.
Proposed orders are presented through an approval card before execution. Users can review the proposed transaction and approve it.
The platform supports spot and futures trading. According to WazirX, users can execute limit and market orders, short setups and trades subject to the maximum leverage available for a particular trading pair.
The assistant uses live WazirX price data, with real-time updates.
This conversational execution layer is arguably one of the more significant aspects of the launch. The AI is not positioned simply as a chatbot answering questions. It is designed as an interface connecting research and trading functions.
AI-powered alerts monitor markets for users
WazirX AI can also monitor user-defined market conditions.
Users can create monitoring instructions using everyday language. For example, a trader could instruct the assistant to notify them if Bitcoin breaks a key support level.
The system evaluates the specified condition and sends a notification when it is met.
This moves the product beyond an on-demand assistant. Instead of requiring traders to repeatedly check the market, the AI can continue monitoring defined conditions and bring relevant developments to the user’s attention.
For traders who follow multiple assets or technical conditions, such monitoring could reduce the need for constant manual observation.
From hours of analysis to a conversational workflow
WazirX says traders can spend hours gathering market context, studying charts, analysing indicators, identifying patterns and determining entry, exit and risk levels before executing a trade.
WazirX AI is intended to consolidate these activities into one conversational experience.
The company says the workflow can help users complete their analysis in under 10 minutes.
The more important proposition, however, is not simply speed. It is the integration of multiple trading activities.
A conventional workflow might involve moving between a charting platform, news sources, market-data screens, portfolio information and an exchange interface.
WazirX AI attempts to bring those stages together.
The user can ask a question, refine the analysis, examine the portfolio impact, establish risk parameters and prepare an order without repeatedly changing interfaces.
A $100,000 paper trading sandbox
To encourage users to experiment with the technology without immediately committing real funds, WazirX is also introducing a Paper Trading Sandbox.
Every user starts with a simulated US$100,000 balance.
The sandbox is intended to allow users to explore the research-to-trade workflow, test strategies and become familiar with the AI assistant before using real money.
This could be particularly relevant for users who are interested in AI-assisted trading but are unfamiliar with conversational trading interfaces.
Paper trading also provides a way to test whether an AI-supported workflow actually improves a user’s decision process before financial risk is introduced.
It is important to distinguish simulated performance from live trading results. A paper-trading environment cannot fully replicate the psychological and financial consequences of trading real capital.
Available across Android, iOS and Web
WazirX says WazirX AI has been rolled out to users across Android, iOS and Web.
The assistant supports both spot and futures trading, along with real-time price updates.
According to the company, users can access features including market and limit orders, short setups and pair-specific leverage. The $100,000 paper trading sandbox is available to everyone.
The integration across mobile and web platforms also positions the AI assistant as part of the existing WazirX trading experience rather than as a separate application.
What WazirX AI could mean for crypto trading
The launch reflects a broader shift in how financial platforms are using generative AI.
The first generation of AI applications largely focused on information retrieval and conversational answers. The next stage is increasingly about agentic workflows, where AI can interpret a request, access relevant data, perform multiple analytical steps and prepare an action.
WazirX AI follows this direction.
Its significance lies less in having an AI chatbot inside a crypto exchange and more in connecting the chatbot to market intelligence, portfolio data, risk considerations and order management.
That creates the possibility of a more integrated trading workflow.
At the same time, AI does not eliminate market uncertainty. Crypto markets can move sharply, technical indicators can produce false signals and leveraged positions can amplify losses.
Users therefore remain responsible for understanding the risks associated with their trades and for reviewing proposed orders before execution.

WazirX’s AI-driven trading proposition
WazirX founder Nischal Shetty said crypto markets operate 24/7, but traders should not have to spend their day moving between charts, news feeds and trading screens.
The company’s objective is to combine market research, portfolio monitoring and trade preparation within one conversation.
If the approach gains adoption, conversational interfaces could become an increasingly important layer between traders and financial-market infrastructure.
For WazirX, the launch represents an attempt to make that layer part of the exchange itself.
With live market data, portfolio context, risk-aware trade preparation, automated alerts and a paper-trading environment brought together, WazirX AI represents a significant step toward an AI-assisted trading workflow for Indian crypto users.
The real test, however, will be how effectively traders use the technology to improve research and decision-making without confusing speed and automation with certainty.
