Agentic AI in HR: greytHR Expands NAVOS Across the Middle East

greytHR, a full-suite Human Resource Management System (HRMS) platform, has expanded its agentic AI capabilities into the Middle East with the launch of greytHR NAVOS.

The move brings agentic AI in HR directly into the company’s HRMS platform. It allows HR teams to find information, navigate workflows and execute authorised activities through natural-language commands.

The development signals a broader shift in enterprise HR technology. AI is moving beyond answering questions and generating content. Increasingly, it is being designed to help users complete tasks within business systems.

From AI assistance to HR execution

Traditional AI assistants typically help users retrieve information or answer questions. greytHR NAVOS takes a different approach by focusing on execution.

The capability combines three core functions: Navigate, Operate and Support.

Navigate helps users discover relevant information and workflows. Operate enables authorised HR actions. Support provides contextual guidance while users work within the platform.

This approach reflects the growing importance of agentic AI in HR, particularly as organisations look to reduce repetitive administrative work without removing human control from sensitive processes.

Girish Rowjee, Co-founder and CEO of greytHR, said the company’s HRMS has evolved from being a system employees work on to a platform that works with them.

“greytHR already connects the entire hire-to-retire lifecycle across key HR operations,” Rowjee said. “With the launch of greytHR NAVOS, we are adding an agentic AI layer across this connected ecosystem.”

According to the company, users can interact with the platform conversationally instead of navigating multiple menus and disconnected workflows.

What NAVOS can do for HR teams

greytHR NAVOS supports workflows across several areas of HR management.

These include core HR, leave and attendance, workforce management, performance management, recruitment, platform navigation and support.

HR teams can use natural-language requests to perform tasks such as updating employee information, generating and publishing letters, accessing attendance records, managing leave and regularisations, and supporting performance reviews.

Recruitment teams can also search for job openings and candidates, manage recruitment approvals and generate hiring-related content.

The emphasis is therefore not simply on conversational interaction. The objective is to reduce the number of steps required to complete everyday HR processes.

greytHR says early usage in comparable markets has shown productivity savings of approximately five hours per week for HR administrators.

In one example cited by the company, an attendance-muster export that previously required about five separate steps can be completed through a natural-language prompt in approximately 10 seconds.

Such use cases illustrate where agentic AI in HR could deliver immediate operational value: repetitive processes that consume employee time but require relatively predictable workflows.

Security and human oversight remain central

Enterprise adoption of AI depends heavily on how organisations manage access, privacy and accountability.

greytHR NAVOS operates within an organisation’s existing role-based access control (RBAC) framework. Users therefore receive access to employee information and HR actions based on their existing roles and permissions.

The platform also requires explicit human confirmation for sensitive or irreversible actions.

AI-assisted activity is recorded through an audit trail that includes the initiating user, timestamp, prompt and action details. This provides organisations with greater visibility into how AI interacts with HR workflows.

greytHR also says its existing privacy, security and governance framework extends to NAVOS. The framework includes alignment with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR requirements, alongside human oversight.

This governance layer could become increasingly important as agentic AI in HR moves from experimentation into production environments where AI systems can initiate or support actions involving employee data.

Why the Middle East rollout matters

The Middle East represents an increasingly important market for enterprise technology and digital transformation.

By embedding NAVOS into its HRMS platform across the region, greytHR is positioning conversational and agentic capabilities as part of the everyday HR technology stack rather than as a separate AI product.

The timing also reflects a broader transformation underway in HR.

McKinsey’s August 2026 research on the agentic era of HR estimates that roughly two-thirds of today’s HR activities could be largely automated by 2030. The activities include areas such as recruitment, payroll, onboarding and benefits administration.

For HR leaders, the opportunity extends beyond reducing administrative effort. Automation can potentially give HR professionals more time for employee engagement, workforce planning and strategic decision-making.

No separate AI fee for paid plans

greytHR says NAVOS is available across its paid plans, including Essential, Growth and Premium.

The company will not charge a separate per-seat AI fee. It also says there are no usage caps or separate purchases required for the capability.

That pricing approach could lower the barrier for existing customers looking to introduce AI-powered execution into their HR operations.

The launch also highlights a fundamental evolution in HRMS technology.

For decades, HR systems primarily functioned as systems of record. The next phase is increasingly about systems of action — platforms that can understand a user’s intent, identify the appropriate workflow and help execute the next authorised step.

For greytHR, NAVOS represents a move in that direction. For HR teams, the bigger question will be how effectively these capabilities can translate conversational intent into secure, measurable and reliable execution.

greytHR currently supports more than 34,000 organisations and 3.5 million users across more than 30 countries. Its Middle East expansion gives the company another market in which to extend its agentic capabilities and test how organisations adapt to a more execution-oriented model of HR technology.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in enterprise applications, agentic AI in HR may ultimately be judged less by how intelligently it can answer a question and more by how safely and efficiently it can help get the work done.
