Ontario’s air ambulance and critical care transport provider Ornge has completed a major step in its digital transformation by moving aircraft maintenance operations to a paperless, mobile-enabled workflow.
The organization has successfully gone live with Ramco Systems’ Digital Task Card with eSign-off and Mechanic Anywhere Mobile Application across all its maintenance bases.
The implementation covers Ornge’s AW-139 and PC-12 fleets. It replaces paper-based task cards with digital workflows designed to give maintenance teams faster access to documentation, real-time task execution and electronic sign-offs.
The move highlights the growing role of paperless aviation maintenance in improving operational efficiency, compliance and visibility across aircraft maintenance environments.
Ornge moves maintenance execution to digital workflows
Ornge provides air ambulance and critical care transport services across Ontario. Its maintenance operations support aircraft that play a critical role in emergency medical transportation.
The latest deployment enables technicians to execute maintenance tasks digitally. They can also complete required sign-offs from mobile devices while working across different maintenance locations.
Ramco’s Digital Task Card with eSign-off has been designed to support Transport Canada sign-off compliance requirements. The system allows technicians to digitally sign off maintenance tasks in real time.
As part of the implementation, Ornge migrated its existing authored task cards into an eSign-off-ready format.
The organization also introduced Work Summary Reports. These reports are intended to support audit requirements and regulatory compliance.
Mobile access targets maintenance delays
